Tennis

Our U16 boys' national team has qualified for the ITF U16 World Team Championships following its outstanding performance at the African Team Championships, held from 20 to 25 July 2026 in Polokwane, South Africa. Organized by the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT), the event served as the African qualifying tournament for the ITF U16 World Team Championships.

Comprising Reda EL AOUNI, Mehdi LAABI, and Samy IRAQUI, the Moroccan boys' team claimed the African championship title with a flawless campaign. The team recorded five victories in five ties, defeating Kenya, Egypt, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Algeria to secure the continental crown.

The Moroccan U16 girls' team, made up of Yasmine DOUYEB, Lara FARAJ, and Hind HANNAOUI, finished as African runners-up. The Moroccan girls defeated Algeria, Togo, Egypt, and South Africa before falling to Tunisia in the final.

At the end of the competition, the two Moroccan teams had played a total of 10 ties, recording 9 victories and 1 defeat, winning one African title and one runners-up finish. As African champions, the Moroccan boys' team will represent Morocco at the upcoming ITF U16 World Team Championships.
