Taranto 2026: Information Meeting for the Moroccan Delegation’s Technical Staff and Coaches
As part of the preparations for Morocco’s participation in the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games, which will take place in Italy from 21 August to 3 September 2026, the Moroccan National Olympic Committee (MNOC) held an information meeting on Monday, 10 August 2026, for the technical staff and coaches appointed by the Moroccan Royal Sports Federations to support the athletes competing in the Games.
The meeting provided an opportunity to present the main arrangements relating to the Moroccan delegation’s participation, particularly in terms of organisation, transportation, accommodation, catering and logistics throughout the Games.
Discussions also covered accreditation procedures, guidelines to be followed before departure and during the stay in Taranto, as well as the various measures put in place by the MNOC to support the Moroccan delegation throughout the Games, in accordance with the rules and procedures established by the Taranto 2026 Organising Committee.
On this occasion, the MNOC teams reminded the technical staff and coaches of the key deadlines, procedures and recommendations to be communicated to the athletes and members of their support staff ahead of their departure for Italy.
As part of the ongoing preparations, the MNOC will also organise a gathering for the athletes of the Moroccan delegation on 19 August 2026, prior to the departure of the first members of the delegation for Taranto. This gathering will provide an opportunity to share the latest practical information regarding their participation and to convey the MNOC’s encouragement, as they prepare to give their best and represent the Kingdom of Morocco with distinction at the Games.
As a reminder, the Moroccan sports delegation participating in the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games will comprise 120 athletes competing across 18 sports.
