Appointment: Mr. Mohamed MOUKTABIL joins the World Karate Federation Executive Committee
Mr. Mohamed MOUKTABIL, Vice-President of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM) and President of the Royal Moroccan Karate and Associated Disciplines Federation (FRMKDA), has been appointed as a member of the Executive Committee of the World Karate Federation (WKF) for the 2026–2030 term.
The appointment was made official on Friday, October 16, 2026, in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, during the first meeting of the newly formed WKF Executive Committee, held following the international federation’s Electoral Congress.
He is one of three co-opted members, alongside Ms. Makarita LENOA of Fiji and Ms. Sarah WENNERSTRÖM of Sweden.
Also serving as Vice-President of the Mediterranean Karate Federations Union, Mr. Mohamed MOUKTABIL further strengthens Morocco’s presence within international bodies involved in the governance and development of karate through this new responsibility.
This appointment comes at a time of sustained Moroccan presence on the international karate scene, notably through the organisation in Rabat of the Karate 1-Premier League, whose 2026 edition marked the final stop of the international season.
