Moroccan students won the 5th edition of the International Olympic Case Study Competition, with the final held on March 24, 2026, in Lausanne. The team from the Institute of Sports Professions at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra ranked first among 36 participating universities.

Organized by the International Olympic Committee, in partnership with Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and Universidad Europea de Madrid, the competition places participants in real-life scenarios. They are required to propose solutions to issues related to the Olympic Movement. This edition focused on supporting young high-level athletes.

The students stood out for the quality of their analysis and the relevance of their recommendations, earning first place in the international final held at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

Supervised by their tutor Mouad BENOUZEKRI, the team was composed of Aya AGUEROUANI, Wail EZ-OUINI, Rayan LAABI, Youssef EL BABILI, Fatima Zahra EL MOULA, and Outmane LIMOUNI.

This achievement reflects the students’ work and the commitment of their supervision. It also aligns with the training programs developed by Ibn Tofail University in the field of sport.

Ahead of the final, the Moroccan National Olympic Committee welcomed the team at its headquarters. This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the project and share feedback and insights to strengthen their approach.

This performance marks an important milestone and highlights Morocco’s presence in international academic initiatives related to sport.
