AFCON 2025: Morocco Qualifies for the Quarter-Finals

The Moroccan national team qualified for the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 after a 1–0 victory over Tanzania on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, in front of a large crowd.

This match, played as part of the Round of 16, brought together two committed and determined teams.

The only goal of the match was scored in the 64th minute by Brahim DÍAZ, giving the Atlas Lions the advantage and allowing them to hold on to their lead until the final whistle.

With this win, Morocco advances to the quarter-finals and continues its journey in this edition of the tournament, hosted in Morocco. The Atlas Lions will next face Cameroon, who qualified after their victory over South Africa.
