A Coruña 2026: Bronze for Morocco in women’s team kata

Our women’s national kata team won the bronze medal at the 2026 Karate 1-Series A in A Coruña, held from April 24 to 26 in Spain.

Made up of Sanae AGALMAM, Aya EN-NESYRY, and Israa EL KAHRI, the national team delivered a notable campaign. The Moroccan athletes defeated Spain (5-0) and Portugal (4-1), before narrowly losing to Türkiye (2-3). They then bounced back by defeating the Czech Republic (4-1) to secure their place on the podium.

Held at the Riazor Sports Palace, this Spanish stage of the Karate 1-Series A circuit brought together karatekas from multiple nations in a competition counting toward the World Karate Federation (WKF) international rankings, making it an important event on the global calendar.
