Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games: Closing Ceremony
The Closing Ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games took place on Sunday, 22 February 2026, bringing to an end this major celebration of winter sports held in Italy from 6 to 22 February.
On this occasion, Morocco participated in the event with a delegation competing in alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. This marks the Kingdom’s 9th participation in the Winter Olympic Games.
In alpine skiing, Pietro TRANCHINA defended the national colors in the giant slalom event. The Moroccan skier passed the first intermediate split with a gap of +1:43 behind the leader before being forced to withdraw following a fall, preventing him from completing the run.
In cross-country skiing, Abderrahim KEMMISSA competed in the men’s 10 km freestyle event, finishing in 103rd place with a time of 27:54.5.
