CNOM

The Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM) took part in the 3rd Forum on Gender Equality, organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and held on 11-12 November 2025 in Burundi.
The Moroccan National Olympic Committee was represented at this event by Mrs. Selma Bennani, member of the Executive Committee.

Held under the theme “Gender Equality in African Sport: Unlocking Potential, Empowering Generations,” this continental gathering brought together representatives of African National Olympic Committees, members of the International Olympic Committee, and several institutional partners committed to promoting gender parity and women’s leadership in sport.

The forum highlighted the role of sport as a driver of social cohesion, peace, and human development, emphasizing the need to fully integrate women at all levels of the sporting movement. Discussions focused on strengthening women’s participation in sport, facilitating their access to leadership positions, and promoting inclusive governance policies.

Participants also commended the inspiring achievements of African sportswomen and the national initiatives that foster inclusivity, capacity building, and the advancement of women’s sport, through dedicated competitions and educational programs.

Mrs. Bennani’s participation reflects CNOM’s ongoing commitment to promoting women’s sport, empowering female leadership, and advancing equal opportunities within the Moroccan and African Olympic movements.
Through its engagement, CNOM reaffirms its determination to support ANOCA’s initiatives and to contribute actively to a shared vision of an inclusive, equitable, and value-driven African sport.
