CNOM: Second Gathering of Athletes Benefiting from the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Scholarships
As part of the scholarship programme designed to support preparations for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, the Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM) organised, on 1 and 2 October 2026, a gathering bringing together athletes benefiting from Olympic scholarships and their technical staff.
On this occasion, individual evaluation sessions were conducted to assess the progress of each athlete’s preparation, identify any potential needs, and monitor their progress towards Los Angeles 2028.
The two-day programme also featured several workshops and support activities. Participants took part in an XLAB workshop dedicated to performance optimisation, a presentation of the CNOM mobile application designed to monitor athletes, as well as a communication workshop and medical consultations.
Dedicated discussions also provided an opportunity to further tailor the support offered to beneficiaries according to their needs and the different stages of their preparation.
To date, the programme includes 31 beneficiary athletes from the Moroccan Royal Sports Federations, distributed as follows:
As a reminder, the CNOM Olympic Scholarship Programme benefits from financial support from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), through the Olympic Solidarity programmes, as well as from the Ministry responsible for Sports, within the framework of the agreement relating to the implementation of the multi-year programme for the preparation and participation of athletes in international sporting events for the 2019–2028 period.
The programme aims to provide additional financial resources to athletes preparing for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, in order to support the implementation of their preparation programmes and accompany them on their pathway towards Olympic qualification.
These Olympic scholarships complement the efforts undertaken by the Moroccan Royal Sports Federations to support their athletes and implement their preparation programmes.
This gathering therefore forms part of the regular monitoring framework established by the CNOM, in close coordination with the Moroccan Royal Sports Federations concerned, to assess the progress of beneficiary athletes and support them throughout their preparation towards Los Angeles 2028.
