ISG - Riyadh 2025: Opening Ceremony
The Kingdom of Morocco is taking part in the 6th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games with a delegation of 76 athletes competing across 12 disciplines.
Flag bearers Zineb HASSOUNE (wrestling) and Achraf MOUTII (judo) led the Moroccan delegation during the opening ceremony, marking the official start of this major sporting event in the Islamic world.
Held in Riyadh from 7 to 21 November 2025, the Games bring together 3,500 athletes representing 57 countries, united by the values of solidarity, respect, and excellence.
The ceremony, filled with light and symbolism, celebrated the cultural diversity of the Islamic world and the spirit of brotherhood that defines this competition.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia is hosting the Games for the second time, after the first edition was held in Mecca in 2005.
Under the national flag, Moroccan athletes proudly marched, determined to defend the Kingdom’s colors and uphold its values on the international stage.
