The competitions are being held across several venues between Milan, Cortina d’Ampezzo and other Italian Alpine resorts, covering all disciplines on the Olympic programme.

Organized in an emblematic setting in Milan, the ceremony featured an artistic show inspired by Italian culture, combining musical performances, choreographed sequences and the traditional protocol segments, including the Parade of Nations, the Olympic oath and the simultaneous lighting of the two Olympic cauldrons in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, officially declaring the Games open.

The Moroccan National Olympic Committee extends its thanks to the Organizing Committee and the Italian authorities for the warm welcome extended to the delegations, and wishes the participating athletes every success at this edition of the Winter Olympic Games.
