ISSF World Cup in Tangier: Driss HAFFARI wins silver in the men’s trap event

Driss HAFFARI won the silver medal in the men’s trap event at the ISSF World Cup in shooting, held in Tangier from March 25 to April 3, 2026.

 

Competing in an event that brought together more than 300 shooters from around 40 countries, the Moroccan delivered a consistent performance in the qualification rounds, hitting 120 out of 125 targets. This score secured him a place in the final among the top six competitors.

 

The final, held under the ISSF elimination format, was contested over 50 targets. Driss HAFFARI maintained a high level of accuracy throughout, finishing with 25 hits. He placed second behind Peru’s Alessandro De Souza FERREIRA, while Guatemala’s Jean Pierre BROL completed the podium.

 

This result marks Driss HAFFARI’s first medal on the ISSF World Cup circuit and confirms his progression on the international stage, competing against a high-level field.
